The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) will present Country Hits: The Songs of Nashville Sept. 29 at Festival Hall in Greensboro.

This unique musical journey will feature time- less classics by legendary artists, including Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Garth Brooks, Kacey Musgraves, Dolly Parton, and Patsy Cline, among others.

Six of Nashville’s finest musicians will pay tribute to iconic melodies that have defined a genre and captured the hearts of music lovers worldwide.

From heartfelt ballads to foot-stomping anthems, Country Hits promises an unforgettable evening of entertainment.

Accompanying the Nashville musicians will be the Augusta Symphony, led by celebrated music director and conductor Dirk Meyer in a new symphonic arrangement by Grammy-winner Jeff Tyzek.

The event will begin at 8 p.m., Sept. 29 at Festival Hall, presenting a perfect opportunity to gather with friends and family for a night of music that celebrates the rich heritage of Nashville’s country music scene. Whether spending the dinner hour enjoying a local chef’s tasting or having an early supper, this concert promises to cap off a perfect September Friday in Lake Country.

OPAS provides a block of complimentary tickets for students, who can hear the sounds of an orchestra playing familiar songs while receiving the oppor- tunity to meet the guest artists.
